House of David was written by Jon Erwin for Amazon Prime Video. There are a couple of places in the epic 8 part series that depart from the biblical sense of the story. But, overall, this is a well done story that tells the story of David. His rise from a lowly shepherd to the Kind of Israel.
The series was produced by The Wonder Project, led by Jon Erwin and Kelly Merryman. They promise more projects and we are looking forward to those.
The House of David was made in conjunction with Amazon MGM studios and is internationally distributed by Lionsgate.
As of early April, 2025 House of David is one of the top video downloads on Prime Video.
As Christians support Christian movies, more will be made. It’s a great way to promote evangelism in our world today.
